The Umhlanga Ski Boat Club (USBC) welcomes members and guests to enjoy its facilities, boating activities, and social functions. By entering the premises, participating in Club activities, or using Club facilities, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Participation at Own Risk
All boating, fishing, and related marine activities are inherently dangerous and may result in injury, loss, or death.
Members, guests, and visitors participate entirely at their own risk.
Safety & Compliance
All members and guests must comply with SAMSA (South African Maritime Safety Authority) regulations, Club rules, and all instructions issued by the Committee or authorised officials.
The skipper of a vessel is solely responsible for the safety of the vessel, crew, and passengers at all times.
Facilities & Premises
The use of Club facilities, including launch sites, parking, and the clubhouse, is at your own risk.
The Club accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to property or vehicles on Club premises.
Alcohol & Conduct
Consumption of alcohol is permitted in designated areas only.
No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs may skipper a vessel or launch from the Club.
The Committee reserves the right to deny entry or remove individuals who act in a manner that is unsafe, disruptive, or contrary to the Club’s values.
Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, the Umhlanga Ski Boat Club, its Committee, members, staff, and volunteers accept no liability for any injury, accident, loss, or damage sustained by members, guests, or visitors.
